lately

Just to sum up what's been going on in my life for the past 3 months....

my little bags and such are selling like crazy!! There's 5 different types in 9 colors. I think they've sold over 600 in total. the stock is almost gone and we are in the process of making them all over again.

Now I'm working on our Novemer exhebition, for spring summer 2010. I decided on the new colors, and am in the pricess of making samples along with a couple new designs.  i know i'm only making small things like pencil cases and little shoulder bags that are inexpensive, but my goal is to make something that people would like to spend money on.





Last month, I went on a business trip to Hong Kong to see the Sabrina Scala brand office and take a look at their new ss2010 collection. We have 3 brands there at the moment. One elegant, and two casual. We were thinking of adding another one, so now we've got 4 over-seas brands. We'll see how that goes. But MAN are the drivers vicious or are they vicious!! they don't care if pedestrians are crossing the road or not! they keep their speed and will charge into ya!

Also, what happened last month was my Best friend...HE GOT MARRIED!!!
 







Not only did he have to get married, he had to leave us to go to London!!

Ikko had to move to a branch in London. He should be home in 3 years the latest, but comon, he's the guys who I've spent most of the time with since 5 years ago! Momoko, Ikko, Yushi and i used to do LOTS of stuff together!!

You think I'm going through a lot? get this, Julie Lattin's pregnant, Lena got married! Luke's kid's like a grown-up now, my aunt and uncle's going on a mission, My cousin got married!

There definately is a lot I'm going to have to catch up with when I finally get over to Utah!!

Hello everyone!!!

sorry, I did it again.... so ya, this is my update. I promised every week, but ended up like every month??

I know, those of you who use facebook, Myspace, and Mixi. I WILL give you back the comments and email you back within this week. I promise.

so, here's my life. I've been working 5-6days a week. My work now consists of walking around the huge city of Tokyo looking for new customers (shop owners) that want to buy our bags.

My first day went pretty well. All 3 stores seemed interested. and I'm going 'ya, that was easy, maybe I've got a gift or something!! ;)' but the 2nd day and from then on, almost all the stores were not as friendly as the ones before. so I lose all confidence right? You all know how easily my confidence comes and goes...

Since i  haven't been feeling all that well this week, today I decided to stay in the office and help my boss with his stuff since he had A LOT going on. My dad usually doesn't let me stay, but since he knew I wasn't doing good, he let me stay and help out.  We made a few boxes of bags to send off to our customers, and then started working on THE PORJECT.

First, we have all these cut leather. What we had to do was to paste them on a sheet and basically make a huge material to make bags out of.

man, who would've thought this would take up soooooo much time and sooooooo much energy and effort!!! all the leather are slightly different in size, so it's real hard to make it in a square sheet. We cannot have ANY gaps, overlaps, nothing!!!!

honestly, after all this munbling and whining, and all I've said. I'd really rather stay in the office doing this all day tomorrow than going out looking for customers, and getting turned down.


well, we'll see what I end up doing tomorrow....

night i became a mom

the night before last, I saw this TV program that had all sort of easy fun cooking, and I accidently announced that I would make dinner the next night........well, I said it, I HAD TO DO IT RIGHT???

so last night, I went shopping during my lunch break, came home from work at around 6 in the evening, and started cooking.
I made seaweed flavored rice, miso soup with pork and lots of veggies in, and tonkatsu (pork cutlet)

mom got bored, so she made a salad for us.

Overall, I got a B+, that was good.....I'm happy with it.

at the end of the meal, stupid me decided to open my mouth before i thought it through...'I'll start making you guys dinner once a week from now on'............

okay, so my last post has was like 4 months ago, but lets not say much of that and hope yuri will be better at keeping everybody up to date from now on.;)

the past while has been a real busy time for me. I finished up working at the bag shop in tokyo station, and started working with my dad in April. I mainly work in the bag section. We handle both ladies and mens bags. the ladies bag collection consists of a Hong Kong brand called 'Sabrina Scala', 'Chirara', and 'Karamel'. we also have a japanese brand called 'Muzica'. the Muzica bags are designed within our company by my boss, and this time I did a little myself!!

This is my collection in the Muzica brand. I did a little tote bag, a pencil case, some little pouches, book covers, and a cellphone holder. the prices were lowly set, so we were hoping to sell lots. I started working on these at the last of April and somehow made it to the exhebition last week. man, that was nerve wracking!!






well, anyways, this is all i can think of what's going on on my side. I hope you're all doing well. let me know how you are....
