1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?  whatever i can find in the house really....

 

2. Real tree or Artificial?   real tree. ours is about 5 years old now;)

 

3. When do you put up the tree?   this year it was like a week ago.

 

4. When do you take the tree down? dunno. maybe we'll find out in a few weeks;)

5. Do you like eggnog? dont really remember what they taste like. we dont have that in Japan..

 

6. Favorite gift received as a child?   dunno. too many.

 

7. Hardest person to buy for?  keita, dad, ANY GUYS!!!! ikko, what am i going to get you?!?!?!

8. Easiest person to buy for?   actually......you're ALL so difficult!

 

9. Do you have a nativity scene?   a little wooden carved one in my room

 

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?  i mail them when i get around to it. when i don't, i usually don't have time to even email.

 

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?  a banana smashed in my stocking.....that was just simply sad.

 

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? i think i like the Mr, crooger story. i saw it with Sue and Richard Hatch last christmas. that was just too cute!!

 

13. When do you start shopping?  whenever i feel the urge. most of the time, like 2 days before the deadline.....as usual

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? nope

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?  my mom's pumpkin pie!!

 

16. Color of lights on the tree? white all the way

17. Favorite Christmas songs? "breathe of heaven"--- britt, i remember you introduced me to that song. whenever i hear that song, the voice i hear turns into you singing to me. good times;) "prayer of the children" ---i loved it when the menz choir sang that at the concert" O holy night"----my all time favorite!!

 

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? it's either stay home, or go home. when i say go home, i mean Utah. i miss you guys particularly around this time of year. I know I'm not the only one who missed utah in my family.

this year, i work on both 24th and 25th.

 

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? rudolf. that's all you need to know baby.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? neither at the moment. we do have a real pretty angel. i just cant find it.

 

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? we open our star presents the night before, when we're at the kinneys or the hadleys. in japan, we only open them on christmas morning.

 

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? missing people i love. tears...

 

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? ikko's getting in this habit of buying me snowmen and santaclause that sing every year. this year i got a jinglebell rock santa. this makes number 3!!

 

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? stuffed potatoes!!

 

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? all my friends.

 

26. Who is most likely to respond to this? everyone!!!!!! anyone who feels pressure by me saying that ;)

christmas party!!!!

december 13th was my christmas party!!!!!

we had a huge crowd, and i ended up making a 15pound turkey in our new oven!!

it was sooooo much fun, I love spending time with these little ones;)

after the party, 7people ended up sleeping over. it was a crowded living room at night i tell you.....

this weekend!

I had a pretty packed weekend from friday......

friday night, Takeshi came and stayed over night. the kids were going to a theme park called fujikyu highland. Since Takeshi lives sooooo far away, he needed to stay over at my place.

so friday night, after coming home from work, takeshi, yushi and I met up and had dinner together at this little curry place right by the bridge near the entrance of the subway station called Madras. we had a great time there!

yushi went home, and I gave takeshi the remote to the TV and went to bed. He slept on the couch in the livingroom. we got up at about 8 in the mornin on Saturday. Mizuki was already in the living room when I came out of the shower, and I was like hey....more people in my house" lol

soon the other kids came over (my house was their meeting place.　fun huh? I wasn't even going!!)and they took off to go play. I took off to work a while after. I came back from work at about 22:00. after a long day of work selling $2100 worth of goods to costomers, yushi and takeshi came back. I was sooooo tired, I just showed the kids their beds and went right to sleep.....

SUNDAY
we had a late start at about noon. takeshi, yushi and I went to kujukurihama to go to the ocean. yushi and I wanted to see some waves and feel the wind and takeshi came along. we stopped by at a place called Mukojima and had GREAT seafood!!!
MAN WE ATE TOO MUCH!!!!!







after lunch, we went to see the beach. okay, it wasn't as good as the beaches in Hawaii, Thailand, Malaysia, whatever, but it was nice to feel the waves go back and forth. it really made me want to go on a trip.

after that, we came home and had tonkatsu for dinner. it was a nice and easy going day . for me anyways.....takeshi had to go all the way home after this, and yushi had to drive us everywhere. I'm so blessed with a great bf and great friends. thank you guys!!

ok, sorry, it's been a while, but here I am.

it's been a few days since my dear aunt Leah left us. she was visiting us here in Japan for about 2weeks.

I was fortunate enough to get to spend about 4 days with her while she was in Tokyo. it was so much fun!! we got to go to the aquarium

  this is a picture of Leah, Miko, I and mi madre. we had fun looking at all these exotic sea creatures. some had bright colors, and some had real funny faces. and o ya, nate! the ocean sun fish was still there, and Mindy!! the penguins were still there too!!




we also got to go to the Edo Tokyo museum

we also went to the Mori art museum. man, that was something else, I tell ya. if you have any questions about this one, ask Leah, she will have a lot to say about this one! they were doing an Annette Messager exibition......

we had lots of fun having her. I was able to cook dinner with her a few times when I was home and Learned great dishes!! I'm thinking that was a real good quality aunt and niece time. don't you think so Leah????
