This last week of January has been pretty busy.
The big event of this week was to move the warehouse. right now we have
1.a warehouse for tile in Gifu Prefecture
2.a warehouse for ladies bags in Tochigi Prefecture
3.some storage space for Mens bag in our office in Tokyo.
The first part of this week, I was in the tokyo back room trying to sort out the mens bags.
On thursday, a guy, my mom and I met up at the office at 0700, and headed out to Tochigi Prefecture. We were to combine the first 2 warehouse, and put the tile and bags in one big place. So I spent 2 days cleaning out our old bag warehouse in Tochigi.
Saturday, everyone came out for the big move. we moved about 180 cardboard boxes with a truck and a van. it took 3 trips to move the whole warehouse. It was the 10 of us, the whole office there, and we got a lot done. I am looking forward to what we can put in that HUGE space!!
this is the truck we borrowed from our dear friend;)
the guys went home after the move, but my dad, my mom and I stayed since out Bato house was like a 30minute drive from there. stayed there for a night, and came home today, which is a sunday.
I got a few shots of the house, and the winter mountains. not exactly my favorite season to be taking pictures, but o well;)
enjoy!

This is my dad's favorite toy;)

So it started. January exhibition of bags for spring summer 2010.
We have made some changes since our November exhibition, and was hoping for lots of sales, but so far, today was not that big of a success.
I guess I will be doing a lot of going around shops one by one and try to get them interested about our products after this is over.
This January is a particularly busy month. It started out at Mike and Amy's house for the new years party. (My first new years party EVER if I may add ;) followed by Breakfast with Chris and his sisters, playing with Nate's little nieces, going to SLC and having dinner with dear Spencer and Ericson, coming back to Leah's to delicious crapes Andre made, playing games and making origami with Andre, Jerry and Nate....going to walmart and watching Bones for the rest of the night, and morning.
GETTING ON THE PLANE (The biggest downside of this year so far ;)
Started working the following day, going around shops with new years wishes......This was the 4th. I think I even went out with Kumiko and Yushi for dinner that night! Been preparing for this expo, but going to the Ghibli muesum inbetween. This was a double date with Kumiko and Kenta, Yushi (my BF that EVERYBODY knows).
Expo started today, and will keep going til Thursday. Leather Expo on Friday, and we move our wearhouse next week. FULL MONTH!!
I'll keep you updated, but for now, I think I need to sleep....zzzzZZZZZ

Hello everyone!!!
sorry, I did it again.... so ya, this is my update. I promised every week, but ended up like every month??
I know, those of you who use facebook, Myspace, and Mixi. I WILL give you back the comments and email you back within this week. I promise.
so, here's my life. I've been working 5-6days a week. My work now consists of walking around the huge city of Tokyo looking for new customers (shop owners) that want to buy our bags.
My first day went pretty well. All 3 stores seemed interested. and I'm going 'ya, that was easy, maybe I've got a gift or something!! ;)' but the 2nd day and from then on, almost all the stores were not as friendly as the ones before. so I lose all confidence right? You all know how easily my confidence comes and goes...
Since i haven't been feeling all that well this week, today I decided to stay in the office and help my boss with his stuff since he had A LOT going on. My dad usually doesn't let me stay, but since he knew I wasn't doing good, he let me stay and help out. We made a few boxes of bags to send off to our customers, and then started working on THE PORJECT.
First, we have all these cut leather. What we had to do was to paste them on a sheet and basically make a huge material to make bags out of.

........like this. we send these sheets to the manufacturer, and they make the bags.

man, who would've thought this would take up soooooo much time and sooooooo much energy and effort!!! all the leather are slightly different in size, so it's real hard to make it in a square sheet. We cannot have ANY gaps, overlaps, nothing!!!!
honestly, after all this munbling and whining, and all I've said. I'd really rather stay in the office doing this all day tomorrow than going out looking for customers, and getting turned down.
well, we'll see what I end up doing tomorrow....
